Our moves and changes service is designed to address this problem.

Most moves and changes require work at the socket end of the cable. However, occasionally a customer wants to re-locate the room or cupboard where their telecommunications cabling is terminated. This is usually the room where the phone system and computer network switch is located.

In this situation we would assess the feasibility of installing link cables to the new location, but it may be that the most cost effective solution is complete installation of a new structured cabling system.

The installation work required for moves and changes is often similar to that required to repair a wiring fault. Instead of installing a new cable at a new location, a repair usually requires a new cable to be installed to the same location.
