> internal cabling
Our internal cabling service is usually provided in conjunction with the supply of a new telephone system or computer network.
In such cases our preferred solution would be to install a Cat 5 structured cabling system.
A Cat 5 cabling system is used to carry both telephone and data communications.
All the cabling to each telephone extension and computer workstation, together with the connections to the telephone system and computer network switch, is terminated on a patch panel.
The best strategy for a Cat 5 installation is usually to flood an office area with telephone and data sockets in every position where a workstation might be located.
This makes it very easy and cost effective to implement moves and changes of workstations and personnel in the event of a change in office layout.
In addition to installing new Cat 5 cabling systems we can also upgrade existing Cat 5 installations by providing additional outlets and patch panels.
However, not every office has, or needs, a Cat 5 cabling system.
In such cases we would run individual cables as required to the telephone and data outlets in an office.
We can also assist with the installation of additional outlets, relocation of existing ones or the renewal of existing cabling if it has been damaged.
Please get in touch with us using the Contact Form if you require cabling for new premises, or if you wish to upgrade your existing internal cabling, or even if you require any minor cabling alterations.
We are happy to carry out a no-obligation survey and provide an estimate for any work that is required.
